Today's look :)

So today we went to Pizza Express for lunch. I'm wearing all black so went for a reddy lip and plain eyes combo :)

That's Benefit High Brow, Provence pigment, B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Bondage Eye Cream and Max Factor Masterpiece mascara, oh and a dab of Sweet Sienna Pigment under the lower lashes.

The very lovely Hot Tahiti :)

Hey Good Lookin!

I've been doing some make up this afternoon. I think I'm ready for my interview at MAC now.

In the interests of fairness, I got done too...

Time to Sort the Nails

My nails are awful. I go through phases of biting, not biting and falsies. I grow them long, one breaks, I bite it off and lo! all my nails are gone. I wanted to wear my Chanel Blue Satin for Christmas so put on som falsies. What I was left with when i removed them this morning was not pretty.

Using these two product I plan to nurse them back to health.

Even the first application has shown an improvement.

Watch this space. I'll do another pic next week for comparison :)

Velvet Teddy Lipstick and Sleek Green & Gold

Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick. My favourite Nude Lip.

I've not captured this well at all. It's a green from my Sleek Palette and much brighter than this. My eyelids are starting to look old and wrinkly.

On the plus side I love my new camera!

Happy Boxing Day

Merry Christmas, I hope anyone who happens to chance upon this had a lovely Christmas with all they wished for!

I've got rather a lot to blog about!

I'll start with the biggest. My special Make Up Case. It was bought from a seller on Ebay.

I won't recommend the seller because they sent the wrong colour, I wanted black, but hey I like the pink so it'll do. It's pretty big but scarily I've pretty much filled it! The dividers are all movable so you can fit your stuff in, there's a strap you can use on it too and of course its cantilever. I love it a lot. Here's the inside:

It's a bit brilliant. Just what I needed.

The next thing was my two latest pigments in Pink Opal and Kitschmas.

You can't tell but the Pink Opal (left) is very very pale pink with a gorgeous opalescent effect. Very pretty and I suspect I'll use it a lot. Kitschmas is also very pretty but the fall out is terrible, I'm not sure how often I'll use it to be honest but I'll have another play before I decide.

Next thing I wanted to tell you about was my Holiday MAC. I had the Mineralise Blush in Conjure Up, the Eye Pallette in Devil May Dare and the lipstick Total Wow!.  All of them are a bit scrummy so far. The blusher needs a light touch but gives a gorgeous rosy glow. The lipstick is really scrummy, just the right shade of pink to make my eyes "pop" as they say and the pallette is gorgeous too, I've not played around with it too much yet but I think it'll need some practice (the dark colours in particular).

I had a bottle of Benefit Your Place or My Place Fragrance and lotion, which I'll review when I've sniffed it properly. So far so good though!

The next thing is this beauty.

I had this for Christmas from my friend Eva and I LOVE it! It's just so ME! I had a nose at the website it came from Me & Zena and I think I might like rather a lot more from there. One of my best presents.

Okay, the last thing I'm going to talk about today is my Lush Forum Ltd Edition Fragrances in So White and Cinders. I received them the other day and have worn both of them.

I'll start by saying they both smell just like the Christmas Ballistics they are inspired by. So White is gorgeous, smells very appley and I can sniff a hint of rose as well. I like it, I adore the ballistic, but I think I'll probably end up swapping or selling this one as I can't justify having a perfume I don't love at the moment! The scent doesn't last for hours either. It's nice but I definitely don't LOVE it. Cinders though, thats another thing all together. Smells just like the ballistic, spicy, christmassy, cola bottley and yummy and the smell lasted all through the night and I could still smell it the following morning. That one is definitely a keeper.

Anyway, I think I've gone on quite enough for one day so I'll shut up. If we don't speak before, Happy New Year!

Sleek Make Up

Today I bought a very highly recommended Palette by Sleek in original. A bargainous £4.99 from Superdrug. Originally designed for women of colour they are very highly pigmented. I've done a swatch pic below which is a bit blurry but you get the idea.

Anyway, I bought it. Got it home. Dropped it and smashed one of the colous so its a bit spoilt already :( Not tried it on my eyes yet but will report back soon.

Ah My First Daily Mail Rant

So some lads robbed a store, making their escape on Quad bikes on a rail track. Two were hit and killed by an unscheduled train. Pretty tragic isn't it. No question that what they did was wrong. No question that the train driver will be deeply traumatised and deserves the utmost sympathies. But according to Dail Mail readers, not only did the young lads deserve to die, but their family and friends deserve no sympathy either. I ask you! What is the world coming to when families of bereaved aren't offered sympathy? I don't think there's much more I can say except how awful and my sypathise go to EVERYONE involved.

Argh.The Biting.

Lola took a bottle last night. Not much, only about fifty mils, but she drank it down and fell asleep. Thats progress. I decided to try seeing as how she took a big chunk out of me and I was bleeding into a breast pad. I didn't fancy offering her a breast feed much. She wouldn't take a bottle this morning but hasn't bitten me either. I will be persisting with the bottle again at bedtime tonight. This has gone on long enough. The weaning is going well, she's enjoying three meals a day, two courses for lunch and dinner. Still doing a mix of solids and purees, I can't fully go along with the BLW though since she's not taking so much milk these days and she will happily munch on a stem of brocolli but not much goes in whereas I know if I offer her an Ella's Kitchen pouch she'll eat loads and I really need to get her tummy nice and full to help with stopping the breast feeding.

Chloe has had the devil in her today. All day. I found myself shrieking like a fishwife at her in Next today after she ran off and hid for the billionth time. Refused to have a wee before we went out and then as soon as we got to Next said she needed the toilet. Marvellous. It was Chloe's Christmas lunch at nursery though today. She had a fab time, but was a little confused to discover that didn't mean it was actually Christmas. No doubt it'll be the same at the Christmas Party next week!

Bath and Body Goodies

Well I love a good scrub. I'm pretty much obsessed with body scrubs. I love the Lush solid ones but recently managed to acquire some Isle of Eden scrubs. They are lovely, lovely scrubby foaming goodness in a huge variety of scents. These are the ones I have

Thats Cranberry loves Lime loves Strawberry, Carnival of Outrageous Lemons and Pink Sugar Citrus Chiffon Cake. All are beautiful and get the Graham and Lola seal of approval. Isle of Eden though, lovely as they are, they are based in the states and shipping is costly so I was delighted to learn about Enchanted. There's no website as yet but I know Sarah is working on it and she's working hard on her own and I think is hoping to be on Dragon's Den next year. She does phenomenally well selling via the Lush international forum and in her shop on Little Lost Lushies (I'm fairly sure you need to be a member to see content on the latter.

Anyway, she specialises in perfumes, scrubs, lotions and bath creams in a variety of gorgeous scents. Excellent customer service, she originally sent me four generous samples to have a try before I bought. The samples I received were Blood Bath scrub, I can't find the full description for this but it was a sweet berry scent, Creme Brulee Scrub - A rich, sweet vanilla & caramel, which was absolutely divine if you like sweet foodie scents, Tropical Volcano Scrub - A huge burst of fruity fizzy fragrance. Coconut, banana, papaya, mango blended with nectarine, red apple, peach, plums, pears, and raspberries, followed by a burst of mandarin orange, pineapple, lemon, tangerine and light musk. I don't like tropical fruit scents so it wasn't my favourite, still used it all up. Last sample was SubLime Bath Creme which I was keen to use as I've never tried a creme. First I tried rubbing a small amount into my skin but didn't get any lather so then tried rubbing a bit onto a sponge (well actually one of those meshy thingy things) and hey presto, lots of lovely bubbles to wash with. Gorgeous scent which Sarah describes as - I have waited so long to bring this to you, but it had to be be perfect and now it is. This has to be my absolute favourite, I adore it and I am not a huge fan of lime scents. So lime lovers are going to love it and if you are not a fan of citrus I strongly recommend you try it anyway, you are going to love it too. Warm sugar cookies topped with ooey gooey marshmallows, smooth caramel and a heavy twist of sugared lime. This one is truely subLIME. Anyway having discovered I was left with satin soft upper arms (i get Keratosis pilaris on my arms so anything that clears that up is nothing short of a miracle) I thought I'd better make an order for full sizes.

After a great deal of thought I wanted two sets of Bath Cream, Body Scrub and Dry Body Oil. One in Bath Pixie - Very similar to IOE Bath Fairy. A black cherry and creme brulee base with fluffy marshmallows, swirled with fruity sugar, rich berries and cream and the other in Parma Violet Fairy Cakes: A new spin on the popular Parma Violet fragrance. Sweet fluffy fairy cakes smothered with Parma Violet frosting.

The scrubs and cream were £6 each (normally £7) and the oil was £7.50. They took three weeks to arrive (it's a very hectic time of year for a one man home business) and when they arrived they were nice packed with a little bag of chocolate santas.

So the products, the Parma Violet Fairy Cakes. At first all I could smell was marzipan but as my nose got used to it I could detect a sweetness and a hint of violet and lots of cake. The bath cream was fab, the scrub was perfect. I used the oil when I got out of the bath and dried and the smell was so overpowering as I spritzed in the tiny bathroom it made me cough, but when I left the bathroom I smelled absolutely divine, my skin was super soft. In bed that night I just kept sniffing myself and I smelled all the way through the next day. Fabulous products and scent.

The Bath Pixie stuff, well the same really, I wasn't as in love with the scent as I thought I'd be but it's nice enough, but as for what the products do for my skin, its nothing short of a miracle and far surpasses my beloved Lush. I think Sarah will be getting more of my money in future and I'll definitely be buying the perfume to match the Parma Violet Fairy Cakes. I can't wait.

Some pics, scuse the fact that they are used. Sorry, I couldn't wait!

Look at these Beauties!

MAC Hot Gossip and Velvet Teddy Lipsticks and Holiday Mineral Shadow and Iris Accents Softsparkle Pencil.

YUM.

In other news, Lola has slept spectacularly well the last two nights, I'm fairly sure it coincides with her new love of food. But the bad news is the biting is still going strong and I still wonder how I can completely give up the breast feeding because its no fun at all. I'm still continuing to give her plenty of finger food and home made stuff but Ella's kitchen stuff is absolutely the bomb. She LOVES it all!

Chloe had a terrible D&V bug and continued to use the potty throughout so I think its fair to say I'm fairly sure she's cracked it. Yay!
