Neon orange! Not what I was going for at all. Nothing like the colour in the bottle :(
If you look closely at the next pick, it shows the bottom of the nail where I missed with the top coat and you can see the change.
Bit gutted but I left it on today and had two people say they liked my nails this morning. I suppose it is alright, but it's not how Tart Deco should look!
Has anyone else had problems with Seche Vite changing the polish colour?
Hello! That's really odd, I've noticed that Seche sometimes makes my polish a bit lighter but I've never seen anything this dramatic before! The original colour is gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteI know! it's bizarre isn't it! Yes the original is lovely!
ReplyDeleteyou won my giveaway! xx
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you and welcome!
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with the Van D'Go color from Essie. But I guess that's not the problem with SV, I tried several different topcoats and every single one of them changed the color. It was kinda yellowing and it looked orange on my nails and not pastel-peach.
ReplyDeleteSo maybe it's a problem with the Essie polishes from that collection. I have a lot of Essies and never noticed that before or on any other nailpolish I own. Just with that color.
Thank you MissDC, thats really interesting!
ReplyDeleteThe same exact thing happened to me just yesterday!! It was bizarre, the pretty coral hue morphed into a traffic cone orange right in front of my eyes... I started over and added a layer of pop art pink before I applied the seche vite thinking that it might lighten the color a bit but retain the coral quality, but the same orange resulted! I love the [original] color , but I don't know if I can handle a seche-less manicure :)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same as you! No Seche? Horror!
