Aromatherapy Associates Mini Bath & Shower Oil Collection Review

I was absolutely thrilled to receive this beautiful looking set of oils from Aromatherapy Associates, it just looks so lovely.
There's a selection of glass vials, each containing enough scented oil for one bath or shower.

The oils can be used in two ways, either added to your bath water or applied to your skin before stepping into the shower. I didn't try the latter. I used all of mine in the bath (not at once!).

The oils included are:
Deep Relax: Vetivert, Camomile & Sandalwood
Light Relax: Ylang Ylang, Lavender & Petitgrain
De-Stress Mind: Wild Camomile, Petitgrain & Frankincense
De-Stress Muscle: Lavender, Rosemary & Ginger
Revive Morning: Pink Grapefruit, Rosemary & Juniper Berry
Revive Evening:  Geranium, Patchouli & Ylang Ylang
Support Breathe: Eucalyptus, Pine & Tea Tree
Support Lavender & Peppermint: Self explanatory
Support Equilibrium: Geranium, Frankincense & Rose

Full details of these oils can be found on the Aromatherapy Associates website.

I will just quickly run over how I found these oils in general and tell you a bit about my favourites. Firstly, all are strongly scented, I loved all of them (the one for colds wasn't amazing but would be when you are congested!) but then I've always loved essential oils. I used to make my own blends years ago! Anyway, all are super moisturising, my skin felt lovely after each bath but be warned, they do leave oily residue on the bath so you need to clean it afterwards, be especially careful if you have kids that are likely to go in the bath after you. I thought I'd done a good clean up job but Chloe still went flying one evening (no harm done thankfully). That aside, fabulous product. Not cheap at £26.50, and if you want a full bottle of one of the oils then you'll be looking at the best part of £35. However, if you like these kinds of scents, then its worth every penny. The miniatures collection would make a superb gift for anyone, especially a mum or a new mum (although these should not be used in pregnancy).

Anyway, I loved them all but here's a little bit about my favourites.

Relax Light
Expertly blended with lavender, ylang ylang and petitgrain. Unwind and ease a tired body and mind.
Blended for gentle relaxation to help combat the everyday stresses of a busy lifestyle, this delicate preparation can help to ease tension headaches and uplift your senses. To relax in a warm bath with this oil is like curling up in your favourite armchair, and can help to restore you mentally and physically.

Got into the bath with a cracking headache, got out of the bath without. Also chilled out beyond belief! Gorgeous.

Destress Mind

Expertly blended with wild camomile, petitgrain and frankincense to help clear your mind, focus your thoughts. Perfect when feeling under pressure, or the mind is racing, and all you want is to clear the head and relax the senses.
My favourite. The strongest scent out of all them to my nose.  All my troubles washed away,  and this time, not even Chloe interfereing with my bath could spoil it.

Support Lavender & Peppermint
Highly effective and powerful blend, with therapeutic levels of lavender and peppermint essential oils.
A great all round Bath & Shower Oil. Great when you are feeling hot and bothered in a sticky climate, or have skin suffering with too much sun. Cools the skin especially after sun exposure.
Perfect to use when suffering from a headache, sunburn or sensitive tummy, at home or away.
Cured my headache again. Nuff said.

Love love love these oils. I won't be buying them myself, they are simply too expensive, but the next time anyone wants ideas of things to buy me for Christmas or Birthdays I'll be asking for a full bottle of one of these. Fab.

Please note I was sent this item for review purposes.
