It comes in a handy little roller ball dispenser and I keep it on my desk right next to my lip balm and Lemony Flutter. 100% natural and free from parabens and synthetic ingredients, this little product retails at £4.95 for 10ml. You just use it as often as you want to rolling it over your pulse points letting the orange, patchouli and rose oils do their soothing magic.
Firstly it smells delicious. Absolutely delicious. I may have been using it more than necessary because I like the smell. For those who are afraid of patchouli and associate it with "hippies", this is very subtle, far stronger are the scents of orange and rose. I like patchouli though. Yum.
So does it work? Hmm I'm not very good at this kind of thing but you know, I think it does. I think it helps because you stop and take deep breaths of the fragrance. Deep breathing of course calms you down, and smelling nice things lifts the spirits a little bit. However, when the three year old has just walloped the sleeping one year old on my knee and I'm shrieking like a fishwife, I don't think there's a product on the planet that will calm me down. So, for moderate stresses and general stressed feelings, yes I think it works, for high stress levels where you've already lost your cool... I don't think so, although a dab of this in the aftermath of your meltdown might just help you return to a more relaxed state, quicker.
I love patchouli and I have a few drops of it in my bath each evening! The pulse oil sounds lovely! :) x
