Into The Groove FotD or How to not wear Lipstick.
Hi all, haven't done a FotD for a while, I get so embarrassed about my lack of skill and I'm so self concious about my fat face and double chins it really puts me off. But anyway, putting my insecurities to one side here's my face of last Saturday. Pulled out some of my Mac In the Groove bits and had a play. I used Fresh & Easy Mineralise Shadows. I also tried out I Like It Like That lipstick for the first time. It's quite obviously not the right colour for me so expect it to show up in a blog sale soon! Anyway, here's some pics for you!
I love the shadows, but in real life this look was really full on, that pink is PINK. Not that you can tell terribly well from the pics, but it was a lot more subtle without Primer Potion underneath. The last pic is teh closest to actual colours, but still washed out.

What do you have on your cheeks? It looks like Hang Loose. Whatever it is, I think it's very pretty :). The eyes are very nice, I know what you mean about colours not showing up well in pictures. I struggle with that all the time as photobucket bleaches out colour for me.
ReplyDeleteMAC seem to release quite a lot of pinks that are quite tricky to pull off. I find those sorts of pinks impossible to wear. I'm looking forward to the blog sale make sure you give advanced warning!

Don't blog sale it! I think it's really pretty on you; doesn't clash with your skin tone, and as the person above said, complements your eyes beautifully.

I agree with most of your comments, yes, the pink is really PINK, but it does suit you, and really shows up your eyes...... makes them look very blue indeed. Don't sell it, wear it.... Not sure about the eye shadow tho, a bit to much perhaps

ReplyDeleteAnyway i completely disagree with you, i think the lipstick looks great! It's so bright and pretty and really shows off the blue in your eyes :)
