These are all the newly created ones:
And these are the existing Lush fragrances although Icon is a Retro product.
I'm not going to discuss each sample I received as I'd be here forever so here are my brief thoughts on a small selection. It's definitely not love with all of them but anyway, here we go. And bear with me, fragrance descriptions are not my strong point!
Ladyboy
Banana, seaweed, violet, chamomile, labdanum, oakmoss. This ex B Never fragrance is very very unusual and most definitely not to everyone's taste! On application it's heavily scented with banana, which I don't find entirely pleasant however, as it settles it becomes a beautiful slightly floral amber with a hint of something you can't put your finger on. It's really lovely...once it settles!
Love
Lemon, lemongrass, bergamot, apple, cinnamon, cassia, jasmine, rose, ylang-ylangA spicy, fruity floral. It's really lovely, apples and cinnamon with lots of layers, but after it's all settled down, its a soft warm, fruity apple and cinnamon scent. Another B Never fragrance that's been relaunched.
Lust
Jasmine, ylang ylang, rose, vanilla, sandalwood
You either love or hate this. It smells exactly like Lush Flying Fox shower gel which I adore. Even so this perfume is SO strong, once it settles it's beautiful and I must say that I had loads of "you smell nice" comments that day. A new scent.
Tuca Tuca
Another new one and you can find my thoughts on this beauty Here
1000 Kisses Deep
Mandarin, osmanthus, labdanum, myrrh, musk
This is a light fresh floral and its just a bit... meh. Not a fan but I don't actually dislike it.
Superworld Unknown
Cocoa, vanilla, tonka, cassie, juniper, petitgrain, neroli, lime, lemon, bergamot, rose, ylang.
I don't like this at first. It's just too sweet and it's mixed with something I just don't like... when it settles it is quiet lovely, warm and sweet, however, the fragrance only lasts an hour on me, if I'm lucky!
Smell of Freedom
Lemongrass, lemon myrtle, neroli, jasmine, ginger, fire tree, clove, black pepper, sandalwood, oudh, orris
Not for me at all. It's the clove, I just don't like it and it smells like Lush's Pied de Pepper foot cream.
Orange Blossom
Orange blossom, neroli, rosewood, ylang ylang, sandalwood, beeswax.
Saving the best til last. This is simply stunning, rich but light and heaven sent (or should that be scent!). I love it.
Obviously thats just a few short reviews on a handful of the range but if you'd like my thoughts on one in particular I've not covered then please let me know.
The whole range is available from Here along with full details of the fragrances. I know there will be some very happy folk to see the B Never fragrances reinstated especially!
The Orange Blossom one sounds lovely, will have to head down to Lush.
ReplyDeleteI am a real lush virgin. Could this be the first product which I would want to go especially to Lush, to buy? I think it might be. I thought it would be candles if they ever did some, but how convenient would these handbag sizes perfumes would be. They look ... lush actually. On paper, I am not too sure about any fragrance, as I find 'ylang ylang' a little bit empowering, and i guess it's going to depend on how much stuff they put it in it. All in all, I am SUPER excited about these fragrances, totally up my street, and i can't wait to have a sniff. I am hoping to find something very fruity and sweet, and light at the same time xx thank you for this great review
