Another indulgent winner of a product from Aromatherapy Associates.The Comfort Candle is, I think, a fantastic Christmas gift. Everything about it screams "ideal gift". Sturdy gold box? Check. Heavy frosted glass holder? Check. Beautiful scent that does actually fill your home? Check. Lomg burn time? Check. Affordable? Check.
Yep this is pretty much perfect. The scent is a blend of Rose & Ginger. The rose is certainly the overwhelming scent but there's the extra note of ginger that gives it an extra dimension. As soon as you open the box the scent hits you, and long before you've lit the wick, your room is filled with the scent. It's not that it's overpowering, it's really not, but it is just the right amount of scent.
Having said that, the first couple of times I lit the candle I was disappointed as I expected the scent to increase and it didn't. It was a total user error though, ten minutes isn't long enough for it to really get going, twenty minutes or long though and sure enough the smell it kicks out really starts to fill the room and it is beautiful. If you're stuck for a gift four your Mum, Sister or friend, somone who likes the finer things in life, then I cannot recommend this highly enough. It's absolutely beautiful.
