What I do find though is that they get lost on my face when looking at my face in full:
So I decided that I'd like to have my eyebrows properly shaped by a professional. Of course the problem is I need to let them grow out which means that today I am looking like this (enlarge for the full horror):
Which I am finding mortifying and its taking all my will power not to attack them with the tweezers. Also, is it even worth doing? All that seems to be growing are stray ones I'm sure would be removed anyway. Am I doomed to keep these brows forever? Is it worth carrying on with this horror?
Please tell me what you think I should do and also your own tales about brows, If I'm going to do this, I can't do it without support!

I'm having eyebrow issues at the moment too - I'm just plain off mine. Yours look immaculate in that first picture - I don't think mine have ever looked so perfect! How about having yours tinted to make them appear more prominent? Or perhaps a brow pencil to start with? I've recently started having mine tinted and was amazed what a difference it made. The only thing is that you don't go too dark, which I did the first time - it wasn't a good look. But now I have brown tint and its only left on for a very short time, just a minute or so, and they're done :)
ReplyDeleteHow long have you been growing them? It took about 6-8 weeks for my brows to fully grow back in. It was hellish, I was like a yeti by the end!
ReplyDeleteIt's so worth getting them done properly, I always used to think why would you pay someone to do something you cans o easily do yourself but getting my brows threaded has made such a difference!
I overplucked mine, so they ended up short and thin. Really made my face look strange.
ReplyDeleteI've grown them now, being patient and using brow pencils have helped. Look much better and are lower maintenance.
xx
Grow them grow them!!!I tweezed mine for yrs, but this summer I decided to stop and go down the threading route. So I left them alone for 5/6 weeks (OMG! tge horror)- and had them threaded and now have it done every 2-3 weeks and I love my brows now..
ReplyDeleteThey will definitely change the shape and thickness of ur brows over time- SO WORTH IT :)
Thanks all! MissisG, thank you, they do look immaculate in that first pic don't they?! But they were really thin and even if I darkened them with a pencil, which I always did, it just seemed to emphasise the thinness! :(
ReplyDeleteLucy, I think I'm on about week two now. I look horrible, I can't believe I've potentially got another 6 weeks to go! I'm going to go and cry a bit now. Glad to know you think its worth doing though!
Kelly, thank you, I've always used brown pencils, but will keep persevering thank you!
fell lucky, you have more brow than i! and no, i diddnt pluck or shave, they are just like that, i've been trying to grow them out forever but most of my hairs are really fair, booo! xxx
ReplyDeleteAlthough it must feel strange, I think I would persevre a bit longer. It looks like you have more to start growing down at the start of the brow, if that makes sense? Is it worth trying one of the growth stimulators? It might also make sense to visit a salon or threader to see what they advise.

Mine look really thin because a lot of my hairs are blonde. I have been attempting to get them slightly thicker (years of plucking etc and I have really thin brows too) but I had a bit of a disastrous threading the other week. I think next time I will go to the salon that is apparently on Gandy Street rather than Debenhams!!
