Beautypedia is a database that normally costs £15.99 a year but is free for the rest of this month.
It's a subscribers only website featureing exlusive access to over 40,000 detailed and scientifically validated cosmetic review and assessments on haircare, skincare and make up from a wide range of brands.
I've had a good look around and whilst the site is clearly pretty american, with prices shown in dollars etc, the reviews themself are really detailed and useful. I looked up some of my fave products and it was nice to see them scientifically validated (in most cases).
It also has a A-Z dictionary of over 3000 ingredients you can refer to, which I would imagine is especially interesting to those who really care what they are putting on their skin.
The site was created by US based beauty Expert Paula Begoun, aka the 'Cosmetics Cop" who has a her own range available from http://www.paulaschoice.co.uk/. If you want to find out more about the lady behind beautypedia.com then go and check out the site.
I'm off to go and create my membership now. There's nothing to lose, it's free!

Goodness what a great offer - I have her huge tombe "Don't go to the Cosmetics Counter without me" which is interesting, but this would be great. I will join you! Jan x
