I swatched them all but immediately realised when I swatched it that the Bubble Lounge Lip Gelee isn't ever going to work on me, it's absolutely stunning, and I don't mind the glitter at all, it's just too pale for me and I'll stick with my Resort Life. It's full of pink and silver and green iridescence.
I was going to send it back (were you aware you can send back make up, even if it has been tested?!) but actually on reflection, as I've only swatched it on my arm, I thought I'd offer it as a giveaway to my readers. I've really appreciated my readers lately, especially yesterday and so it just seemed the right thing to do!
Please be aware, this has been nowhere near my mouth, but it has been swatched on my arm so I can't call it brand new but it's "as new" and boxed! I will also include a few other little bits for the winner.
So for your chance to win the beautiful Mac Bubble Lounge Lip Gelee from the Cham Pale collection and some other things (new!) I'd like to you to leave a comment telling me what eye make up you'd team with this to complete the look.
The Rules:
You must be a follower of my blog if I get even a whiff that you're just some random from MSE I won't enter you.
Please leave your name AND contact Email address in your comment.
If you do not leave an answer to the question, or an email address your entry won't be counted.
This is open to international readers.
I'm feeling generous so you get an extra entry if you tweet or blog about it. One extra entry per person. I don't want the entire blogosphere and twittersphere spammed :)
Closing date is Midnight Friday 21st and I will use Random.org to pick a winner.
Good luck!
Hmm, if this is quite pale I think I'd go for a bright sparkly eye, some colours from the Sleek Sparkle palette perhaps!

Ooh, I didn't know you can return tested make up (it always says on the dispatch note it has to be unused)! Btw, I'd wear this with a grey smokey eye. :)
ReplyDeletepleasureflush@yahoo.co.uk
Ohhh I would actually team this with a lovely smokey eye and flawless skin! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely idea for a giveaway,

makeupsavvy@live.co.uk
Ohh this looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this with a brown or grey smokey eye, pale lips and a dramatic eye work well together with my complection. I'd also use a golden bronzer rather than a blush on my cheeks.

You know the look Natalie Portman has in the 'Black Swan' poster?Something like that but transformed into a more ladylike, less black swan style.

I also didn't know you could send stuff back! That info will no doubt encourage me to spend even more money on the website! lol
ReplyDeleteWith such a pale glittery colour I'd probably go for a contrast with the eyes and have really vampy black smokey eyes with maybe a tiny bit of something black and glittery over the top!

Ooo I'd love some genuine MAC lippie.
ReplyDeleteWell after reading your review on Ellis Faas I've ordered their Winter Glow Set. I had to have it even though its January and I have several close family birthdays (including my babys 1st birthday) so its an expensive month. I had to buy it though after seeing the eye light swatches you posted so I would wear the lipgloss with the dark shimmery Ellis Faas around the eyes.
This blog is great for the info but it makes me want to buy it all. Thank you and keep up the excellent work!

ReplyDeletehollowayemily69@yahoo.com
I would team it with a warmer brown smokey eye to contrast with the cool toned gloss :)
ReplyDeleteLiparazzi@googlemail.com

I would go all out & wear it with a smokey but bright purple eye look :)
ReplyDeleteEmma :) mua.emma@live.co.uk
Thanks!xo
I'd pair it with just a matte neutral eye, as the shimmers can be overpowering :)
ReplyDeleteMy name is Yu, I follow you with MakeYuUp and my email is makeyuup@gmail.com. I tweeted you, my twitter is http://www.twitter.com/makeyuup :)
Thank you for this!
I think I'd keep my eye make up quite neautral and matte this this lip gelee, maybe a brown smokey eye with the matte browns in the UD Naked palette :)
ReplyDeleteGemx
gemmax@gmail.com
I also put a link on my sidebar http://www.gemx.co.uk/sparkle/
Oh lovely give away, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI always pair a nude lip with a smokey eye, so I think I would go for your classic smoke, but using matte colours because the lips are quite glittery and I wouldn't want to look like a disco ball!
ih8kelsey@hotmail.co.uk
I follow you on GFC. Great giveaway btw! I'd wear this with smokey dark brown eyes and peachy cheeks.
ReplyDeleteprettyaspeachesblog at yahoo dot com
I'm a follower. Kirsty, kersty83@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI would go with shimmery purple and gold on the eyes, probably using my Fyrianne shadows. Disco ball central!
Thanks for doing this giveaway xx
What a lovely giveaway. Like many others I would wear this with a smoky eye. I would use NARS Night Breed and Night Fever. xx
ReplyDeletelyddi69@hotmail.com

ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'd love to enter, this look quite pretty :)

Duh ! I was watching telly and lost track of what I was doing. Here's the rest of my entry !
ReplyDeleteI'd pair this with very dramatic eyes. Dark colours, like a dark purple.
And I twitted on here http://twitter.com/#!/MartianDelights/status/23374183853465600
xXx
Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would use this lip gloss with smokey brown eye MAC makeup, like Bronze on the lid, Espresso on the crease and Shroom on the brow bone xx
xprincesaliviax(at)gmail(dot)com
This looks so pretty! And I am a Glitter-Addict!
ReplyDeleteI'd pair this Lipgloss with classic smokey eyes - but with matte colours to balance out the look!
moccaschnittchen@web.de
This looks like a really pretty colour, and such a lovely giveaway for you to do :)
ReplyDeleteAs it's quite a pale colour, I'd go for something to give the finished face a 'girly' look. Probably something quite simple - a bit of liner and mascara, perhaps with a little Mac Vanilla pigment to give a glittery sheen.
jennie_cole04(at)hotmail(dot)come
Thanks xx
oooh this is gorgeous! i would team this with a smoky brown eye.

Hi Charlie,
ReplyDeleteI think i'd go for total glitter overload and use Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy Rides Again with some UD Smog for contouring. Then some slick black liquid eyeliner and lashings of mascara.

emma_picksley at hotmail dot com
i'd wear this over a nude lip, paired with a black and silver smoky eye.

Id gor for a dark smokey eye with a touch of chilled on ice paint pot to add that bit of sparkle :)

paula_sawyer@hotmail.co.uk
I had no idea you can send stuff back to mac once you've tested it! I wish I'd known, I bought Beach Bound from the to the beach collection and it just looks horrible and doesn't suit me at all. Very generous of you to give it away.
ReplyDeleteAs the gloss is so sparkly I wouldnt want to overkill with too much sparkle on the eyes or too bright a colour, so I'd probably go for a dark/neutral smokey eye with tons of mascara and a very slight hand of by candlelight MSF on my cheeks!
Rachel
beautyfiend@live.co.uk
I'd do a deep chocolate smokey eye, and a nude lip with this on top :) It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteSophsterlicious@hotmail.com
I would use MAC's Mating Call over the lid, Chanel's Amethyst in the crease, MAC's Ricepaper as a highlight. Then I'd line it with MAC's Designer Purple pearlglide.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome contest :)

I think that because its so shimmery I would keep the eyes quite nude and matt however use a shimmery brown eyeliner on the upper and bottom lash line. I would probably team it with a MAC mineral blusher - gentle perhaps? and also use bare study paint pot to highlight cheek bones. Oh and for mascara i would use Avon 24 caret - a black mascara with gold flecks!

Oh it is gorgeous!! I would just use it on its own and team it with a peachy blusher and eyes made up with browns and a brown/brown mascara - I want my lips to be the focus!
