Faces of the Weekend

I liked my make up both days this weekend so I thought I'd share my looks with you! Completely different and I definitely like one more than the other but still, not bad efforts for me!

So on Saturday, not much planned, all in all a dullish day, bit of shopping and mostly staying at home I went for a more natural look for me featuring the Clinique Strawberry Fudge Palette. These colours really seem to suit me, I'm learning actually after many years that warm shades aren't especially my friend and that slightly cool is much better for me.
Face: Lily Lolo Mineral Powder Foundation
Cheeks: Clinique New Clover Blusher from the Strawberry Fudge Palette
Eyes: All the eyeshadows from the Strawberry Fudge Palette
Lips: Clinique Defining Liner all over in Plush Pink topped with Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour in Strawberry Bliss

And then yesterday, Sunday I was going out for lunch with friends, I don't get out much so its always an opportunity to go a bit OTT and I don't care if my make up is more suited to a night out than a Sunday Lunch in a pub. Any excuse! I was originally going to go for smokey eyes and a nude lip but right at the end thought "what the hell" and slapped on the most stunning red lippie I own. I felt a million dollars!
(wow - check out those eyebags, not sure there's a concealer in the world that can work on 5 hours sleep a night for a month!)

Face: Clinique Anti Blemish Foundation, Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural, Estee Lauder Doublewear Concealer and The Balm Time Balm Concealer
Cheeks: Mac Too Chic Beauty Powder, Rouge Bunny Rouge If It Were Summer Still Bronzing Glow Powder in Netherway Cove and Mac Happy Together Mineralize Blusher
Eyes: Mac Blackground Paint Pot, Mac Family Crest Pigment, Guerlain Kohl Noir, B Never to Busy to be Beautiful Eye Cream in Bondage (I think! Whatever the black one was called) and Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara
Lips: Estee Lauder Wild Fire Long Lasting Lipstick

Star of the show of this face has got to be that amazing red lipstick which has become my favourite red I think, its an orange based red and is just stunning. I need more excuses to wear it to be honest!

So anyway, that was my make up over the weekend. Anything take your fancy?

You look stunning and that splash of vibrant colour on your lips is beautiful, no excuse needed I reckon, if it makes you look this fab wearing it should be daily! The whole look is lovely, not over the top but definitely head turning, love it. x

  7. Both are really lovely. The EL lipstick is knockout on you and of course, you Saturday really appeals to me being a neutrals fiend. I know what you mean about going for it whenever you get the opportunity. It's got to be done!

  8. Thank you for the lovely comments everyone. I still hate putting pictures up of myself! Thank you.

Modesty, I think you'd really like the Strawberry Fudge and Pretty in Prints palettes, they are lovely neutrals and the blushes in them are really gorgeous!

  9. I love the red lips, was at the EL counter today and wished I'd seen this post first! You look fabulous in both, but the Sunday is very old school Hollywood sex siren style. Amazing. I would love to wear really bright lips out, and I did wear a very bright pink last weekend to the dreded wedding fair, but I spend the whole time worrying I have lipstick on my teeth so need to be glued to a mirror!

Bit of an odd thing to say but your jawline looks great, really defined, and your skin looks excellent too. You think the Slendertone Face thingy is working? xxx
