I've been wanting this polish since I first saw it appearing on blogs. I've been checking the House of Fraser Site religiously for at least a month now and last week it finally appeared and I grabbed it! Good job I did because two days later it had disappeared again!
I also bought Boom Boom Pow (the gold sparkly one on the left), but I'll do a seperate post on that at some point in the future!
Glitter in the air is a milky pale blue with baby pink and baby blue sparkles. Having seen it swatched many times already I knew very well that the milky blue base colour doesn't translate well to the nails and that actually this works better as a layer over something.
But in the interests of showing you how this polish looks on its own here it is.
I'd be happy with this if my nails weren't so yellow. But they are and so it's never going to work for me on its own.
I toyed with layering over a pale blue, or a pale pink, and white, but in the end I settled for a grey and it's a nice choice in my opinion. Here it is over Essie's Playa Del Platinum.
It's definitely not for everyone but I love it and I'm so pleased that I have it in my collection because I simply don't have anything like it. Nor have I ever seen anything like it.
I must add, the wear on these is phenomenal, I'm on day four with not a chip in sight. Still going strong. Which of course you would hope if you've just spent £16 on a polish...
Anyway, I bought mine from http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/ who are the only UK stockists. I have also just spotted they have Happy Birthday in stock which is the one I've wanted for the longest time! Must....resist.....

This is so pretty :) i like sparkles so this is on my list (and the fact its blu is a thumbs up too).
ReplyDeleteWhy are your nails yellow? (Not that they look it, just because you say they are). As I stated in my guest post on the leg room (See my blog for link) I had that problem with my toes and it was down to not enough moisture so my toes drew moisture from my polish. Manicurist suggested Jessica Phenomen oil :) x
I didn't think I'd like this at all but it is actually really pretty. Reminds me of confetti being thrown at a wedding. Really wish I could see the range in person. Glad you were finally able to get it! x
ReplyDeleteOooh pretty! As a boy and MUA I rarely get excited about nails but this is lovely! You ladies must go all crazy when you see things like that! LOL. Lovely post as always. XX
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and romantic colour - I don't have the size of nail plates to show it off but I can enjoy it on your nails :-) Jan x
ReplyDeleteI'm so not sure on this polish, I just don't think I like it enough to spend £16 on. I love the choice of grey underneath though!
ReplyDeleteThe gold looks like its a bit more up my street.
Such a cute colour, reminds me of speckled easter eggs :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a unique color- I will have to see if I can find it here. I bet it would look pretty over a robins egg blue or soft green. Glad you were able to get hold of it. x jeanie
