Little BU is the creation of the very lovely Patricia Dente Haimes (some readers may recognise the name as Patricia used to be the PR at Liz Earle!). Patrician has spent 15 years in the beauty industry working for companies such as Smashbox, Chanel, and Estee Lauder.
So what's Little BU all about? It's a water based, wash off formula nail polish and chemical free and so safe for kids. Not only is it all of these things but it's glossy! Chloe and I have been giving these a good trial and we're impressed. There are currently 8 shades in the range, and a top coat and we were sent Chloe (of course), Riley and the Top Coat to try out.
So the application is simple. you wash and thoroughly dry your hands, add two coats of polish, allowing each to dry and then you blow dry the nails for 30 seconds to "set". To extend the wear you can add one coat of the Little BU Top Coat and blow dry for 30 seconds. Hey presto! No odour. Dry in 2 minutes. Safe for Nail biters. Pregnancy safe. Washes out of clothes. Not tested on animals. GLOSSY and best of all, when it's time for school, it just washes off! You can of course use a non toxic nail polish remover as well. If you use the top coat and want to wash off, you might find you need to soak a little.
As a Mum, I love these for Chloe, I can do her nails on Friday night for her if she wants and wash it off on Sunday for School. Brilliant. As a blogger I love the colours and I can't get over how lovely these look on. I've got Riley here on my desk ready to try out on my nails later. As a "nail professional" I'm thinking I might just get all the shades for pamper parties for girls but also for clients who can't have chemicals on their nails. Brilliant.
Lets have a look!
Here's Chloe sporting her namesake polish, Chloe.
I've included the last picture because although the hand on the left is blurry, you can really see the shine on the right one!
And here's Riley on her toes.
The Top Coat makes a big difference. Without it the toes washed off in a shower, with, the polish lasts through a shower with no problems.
Chloe and I LOVE this stuff and I think I'm going to get them all for my professional kit, but I'll be looking to buy Sofia, Cecilia and Kyra next for Chloe I think, A deep purple with magenta shimmer, sheer crystalized pink and Luminescent silver with shimmer.
Gorgeous. Alas, they are not cheap! Currently only available from Harrods and http://www.iluvlittlebu.com/, these cost £9.95. A lot for a child's polish, but since Chloe and I both use them and love them and I think they are fab well, I'll find a way to get them!
You can celebrate the launch of Little BU if you fancy it by popping along to Harrods on Saturday 15th October 2-6pm, Children's Designerwear, Fourth Floor for Mini Manicures, Face Painting, Balloon Modelling and Colouring In.
ALL WELCOME! Alas we can't attend but I wish we could! Please enlarge the invite for a closer look at the details.
Please, if you can, attend and do let me know how it was!

OMG how cute is Chloe in these pics?! She's like a little princess and her nails are just perfect. I adore the idea of this and know my 6yr old, Amber would too, though the price puts me off.
