Recently Charles Worthington released a new, small, collection of products to give you great salon hair, at home. There are four products, Diamond Shine Gloss Treatment, Miracle Repair Elixir Oil, Overnight Ultimate Hair Healer and Intense Rescue Melting Balm.
I've been giving a couple of the products a go recently and have seen some definite improvements to my hair, but I do have to mention that I am also taking Hair and Nail supplements that I believe are having a great effect also.
The first of the two products I've been trying is the Overnight Ultimate Hair Healer (£14.99/200ml)
This is recommended for hair suffering from dryness, frizz or damage (I have all of these, lucky me!), this is a light weight creme which you put on at night and wash off in the morning. I was amazed to find that it left absolutely zero residue on my pillow... I have no idea how they do that, but it didn't!
It contains Argan oil and is proven to double hair-strength overnight and reduce hair breakage by up to 80%. I don't know really about that, I can't scientifically measure it in any way, but my hair certainly was smoother after use, softer and yes, perhaps there are less split ends than there usually would be...but I'm not certain. Still, the strength issue is something that I think is likely to improve with repeated uses, and I'm using this fairly regularly now because I like how my hair feels afterwards so we shall see. I would highly recommend if you have the frizzies though, very good. The results also seem to last well as well, I mean beyond a wash. I certainly don't feel I need to use more than once a week. It lasts through several washes.
The second item I've been trying is the Diamond Shine Gloss Treatment (£12.99/100ml)
This wasn't so easy to use I have to say. In theory it's easy, you apply, you leave for ten minutes, then you shampoo and condition as usual. The problem lies in how much product to use. There's no guide on the bottle and it's very very easy to use to much... and when you use too much you end up with greasy hair...get it right though and you'll find your hair is definitely softer and definitely shinier. You might find you have to play around a bit to get the quantity right, but once you do, there's a definitely shine going on.
Both of the products do what they say they will, to different degrees, but I would recommend both, but with the caveat that I would steer clear of the Diamond Shine Gloss Treatment if you have greasy hair.

Ooh I like the sound of the Overnight Treatment. I have a halo.of frizz on my hairline and so lots of products just make my hair greasy as the frizz is at the root not further down. I like that there is no residue left on your pillow, and overnight treatments just really appeal to me for some reason. I think it's because using them forces me to shower in the morning and be up for the day instead of showering at night.
