Okay so Rouge Eclat lipsticks are satin finish, highly pigmented and age-defying. Essentially there are all sorts of ingredients to protect against dehydration and ageing. I don't know about that, I just love lipstick, oh and they are all scented and flavoured with blackberry and liquorice. It's a gorgeous scent, not terribly overpowering, but definitely there so, its something to be aware of if you don't like scented cosmetics. I do, and this is my favourite scent to date, it's just lovely. There are 15 shades in the range and I have 7 of them to show you today.
I'll start by showing you the swatches on my arm followed by each colour worn individually on my lips. I don't know why but the arm swatches aren't that impressive, don't let them put you off, these lipsticks are most definitely not sheer and most definitely opaque.
Okay the lip swatches, shown in the same order as above.
Firstly 03: Petal Pink.
04: Tropical Pink (I must admit this one is taken with a flash as its the one that came out most accurate, you can see this in natural light at the end of the post)
06: True Aubergine
08: Coral Pink
09: Juicy Clementine
11: Passion Red
15: Nude Caramel
I have to say all the colours are amazing but I have my favourites. Juicy Clementine, Petal Pink and Coral Pink. Coral Pink is the kind of pink that always makes my eyes look insanely blue.
Oh and Tropical Pink. My close up lip swatches in natural light all came out a bit blurry which is why the swatch up there is with a flash. I do have a shot of me wearing it in natural light but it's a full face shot.
These lipsticks, not only look spectacular but they are also completely non-drying on me and pretty long wearing for a lipstick. Still in situ, if a little faded after a drink and meal.
Beautiful. I'm fancying Nude Rose and Sweet Rose too, so I'll have to check them out when I'm next near a counter.
Very much up to the standards I've come to expect from Clarins, just beautiful lipsticks in beautiful colours. These retail at £18.50 each but I heartily recommend Escentual for all Clarins products as there seems to be a permanent discount on the whole line.
Do check these out if you are a lipstick fan.

I only have one of these, I can't remember what the name is but it was from the AW12 collection, I think it might be Spiced Orange? I absolutely LOVED the formula but wasn't crazy about the colour. Thank you so much for this post, now I know that I NEED Tropical Pink! x

tropical pink and true aubergine are my favourites.
ReplyDeletebut it looks like tropical pink has a gloss?
I think the flash did somethign funky to it because it's not glossy, although it's not completely matte either... in the full face picture, its certainly not glossy. Very odd I know!
DeleteI am seriously eyeing true aubergine!
