I was a lucky girl a couple of months ago and had a 30ml bottle of Jo Malone London's famous Pomegranate Noir Cologne from my husband.
Being a huge fan of patchouli it was a must have on my wishlist. The description of Pomegranate Noir is as follows:
"The sensuality of a daring red Dress. Ruby-rich juices of pomegranate raspberry and plum are spiked with pink pepper and laced with Casablanca lily and spicy woods. A dark enigmatic fragrance"
Gosh this is a strange perfume! Don't get me wrong, I love this but I'm finding it very hard to describe. I've read so many reviews of this and they are all different so I think it's not just me. For me, I get overwhelmingly patchouli with a whisper of the fruit. It's strong and woody and glorious. I'd like to have more fruit in it, but I think this is just how it works with my skin because other reviewers get a lot of fruit.
It's very dark and wintery and I really really love it, for the same reasons I love Clinique Aromatics, its rich and patchouli heavy. Because of this it certainly isn't for everyone... patchouli haters beware! Oh I must add, theres more than a whisper of clove in there too...for some this maybe a little too...medicinal? I really like it though.
Try on your skin though, from what I can tell it's different on everyone, and I think it's probably unisex. Now...where did my husband go? *spray*
